If I were to be the master of the anything in this world, it would be languages without a doubt. Just a thought of knowing all the languages gives me a chill down the spine. It would be a different world because there would be no barriers to communication and it would be a fun place to be in, isn’t it?
Imagine if you go out to visit a new country and people with you and around you are talking in some alien language which you remain clueless about for the entire trip. But think of the other scenario and think the opposite. Wouldn’t it be amazing to interact with people with different language base and add up to your small world? Here in India we get puzzled when we just hear songs from different languages like
malayalam movie video songs. Imagine a time, when we would actually interact in all these languages.
As a matter of fact, going out of India is not even required for this wonderful and handful experience. We are a rich country as far as languages are concerned. At every thousand kilometer there is a change in language and we love it. We are a country with diversity and yet there is one language that binds us all together and that is Hindi. Being the national language of the country it is understood in most part of the nation but imagine the magic wand that we spoke about, the magic wand of knowing all the languages and being able to enjoy the flavor of the country in its pure raw form. The thought looks far fetching but believe you me, if we go out and start learning each language that our country has to offer we would take years together.
Now for a person who doesn’t understand any other language other than his/her own mother tongue, it’s a tedious task to survive the world. It is impossible and sad for such a person, for he would not be able to experience the salty and sweet flavor of our country, of we can say our home made recipes and its dishes. A world full of so many offerings in many varieties that you would get tired acknowledging them but it would keep coming your way.
We can go extremes in terms of examples as well. Consider an amazing
HD video song in Malayalam from some hit movie doing the rounds only in the southern part of the country, reason being half of the country doesn’t understand the presentation of the video all because it is in Malayalam. Wouldn’t you be missing the entire platter that the entertainment bracket is offering you? Just for this purpose and many more which can’t be covered here, we vouch for ‘All languages for all’ agenda. Isn’t it a challenge that you would love to take because as they say, life is too short to read all the books and learn all the languages. So why not start today?
