After the super successful ‘Mary Kom’ last year, Priyanka Chopra is back again to scorch the screen. This time it’s for her upcoming film ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. Her image from the film was officially revealed today. The image features Priyanka sitting atop her luggage by a river front in a contemplative mood wearing a rounded hat. Judging by Priyanka’s expression in the image, one can only infer that her expressions gel very well with the theme of the film which talks about a dysfunctional family. Loads of in-house drama and tension are guaranteed from this third offering from Zoya Akhtar. The ‘heightened drama’ will showcase another side of Priyanka Chopra, the glimpses of which were last seen in Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Fashion’.

With her string of top notch performances last year, expectations from this film are sky high and fans will be rooting for another award winning performance from the star of film behind hits like ‘Mary Kom’ and ‘Barfi’. To the uninitiated, the producers of the film have been revealing images of stars of the film at intervals, as a run up to the trailer launch of the film scheduled on 15th April. Prior to Priyanka’s image, the filmmakers have already revealed the look of Anil Kapoor and Ranveer Singh from the film. While Anil Kapoor looked every inch the business tycoon he plays in the film, it was a respite seeing a clean shaven Ranveer Singh.

In the film Priyanka will feature as the daughter of the Mehras. The plot of the film revolves around a dysfunctional family - the Mehra family. While Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah will play the role of parents to Priyanka Chopra. Ranveer Singh will be seen stepping into the shoes of Priyanka’s brother in the film. Trapped in a failed marriage, Rahul Bose will be seen in the role of Priyanka’s husband. The entire plot unveils when the whole family takes a trip of the Mediterranean on a sea liner.

Judging by Priyanka’s success at the box office last year, it goes without saying that another power packed performance is on its way come first week of June.  Zoya Akhtar’s previous films - ‘Luck by Chance’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ were both critical and commercial success at the box office. Ardent fans of Priyanka will only be hoping that under the able direction of Zoya Akhtar, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ is a sure shot winner at the box office with couple of awards too in her kitty.
